External Relations Advisor

Chris Fry works for Shell as an External Relations Advisor in the External Relations department. He has an undergraduate degree in International Indigenous Studies (2010) and a Masters of Science degree in Sustainable Energy Development (2014) from the University of Calgary (U of C). His Masters research focused on Aboriginal consultation through the Joint Review Panel for the proposed Northern Gateway Project. Chris is also a member of Kwanlin Dün First Nation located in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Working in the energy industry I am well aware of many of the challenges we face in Alberta. From my perspective, industry and government can do a better job working with Indigenous communities by including them in resource management decisions and minimizing impacts on Treaty and Aboriginal rights.
