Managing Director, Public Sector

As Managing Director in Calgary Commercial Financial Services, Nneka partners with companies in diverse industries and government organizations to support their strategic growth plans.

Nneka has 19 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Since joining RBC in 2007, she has held a variety of credit and sales management positions in commercial banking including Director, Commercial Credit Transformation and Vice President Commercial Banking, Durham.

Nneka is passionate about the power of education, mentorship, and community involvement, serving as Governor – Audit & Finance Committee for Durham College and as a mentor at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Oshawa. In June 2016, Nneka was recognized as one of 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women for her commitment to the community and volunteerism with local organizations in addition to her leadership within RBC. And in February 2019 Global Community Alliance Ottawa presented her with the Professional Achievement Award for her leadership and community service activities. Also, in 2019 she became a member of the Energy Futures Lab fellowship program, made up of over 60 of Alberta’s innovators and influencers from industry, government, non-profit organizations, First Nations, academia and community interest groups, providing expertise in energy sector insights and funding advocacy. Nneka also serves as SAIT School of Business 2020 Mentor. In November 2020, she became an Executive Committee Member for the 2021 Global Energy Show. Nneka continues to mentor others especially RBC colleagues, and new immigrants to Canada.

Nneka graduated with a degree in Business from The University of Ottawa and an MBA from Dalhousie University. She is an avid runner and has completed multiple marathons. What she is most passionate about are her two children whom are enjoying a new adventure in Calgary.
