Jason has held roles in tech manufacturing, large scale cattle ranching, and academia including senior manufacturing and project management positions at Nortel Networks, two decades as the Vice President of Operations at Red Deer River Ranches, Director of Smart Ag and Manager of Smart Ag Partnerships at Olds College, and recently as President of Carbon Asset Solutions.
The idea of trying something new, the practice of design thinking, and a predisposition for connecting people and ideas has led Jason into opportunities in agriculture production, ag tech innovation, and ecosystem development. A drive for understanding and demonstrating the practice of nature-based systems has brought him to develop a passion for regenerative agriculture and the carbon economy.
Jason is currently working on his MA – Leadership at Trinity Western University and is researching how collaboration, team leadership, and people development are integral to transformational servant leadership.
