Mr. Georgsen leads a diverse team with a focus on internal and external communications, media relations, consumer advice and information services, stakeholder engagement, strategic analysis and advice, and AUC web and digital output.
Mr. Georgsen is graduate of the University of Calgary, and of McGill University’s Mini-MBA Program. He has a strong background in strategic public affairs, with significant experience at senior levels in both the utility private sector, and in government.
He has extensive experience in strategic communications planning and execution, government affairs, stakeholder engagement and consultation. Mr. Georgsen is a native of Hanna, Alberta and is active in the Calgary community. He sits on the board of directors for the Calgary Food Bank, where he serves as the chair of the organization’s community and stakeholder relations committee.
