The Solar Skills campaign – and the pilot training project at Louis Bull First Nations – is starting point initiative of the Worker Climate Plan, which aims to assist energy workers, contribute to reducing GHG emissions, and creating an export market for Alberta’s renewable energy market.

A pilot project with the Louis Bull Tribe involved energy companies, oil and gas workers and members of the Tribe being trained on a solar installation on the local daycare. This pilot set the stage for scaling the Solar Skills initiative and for a national upskilling campaign for energy workers.
