Indigenous Relations Lead - Mining, Minerals and Metals

Lacy serves as the Indigenous Relations Lead for Stantec’s Mining, Minerals, and Metals Group, where she is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the full range of Stantec’s Indigenous community engagement and relationship management initiatives. She supports Stantec MMM practitioners to develop effective, respectful, and sustainable relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and businesses, developing an understanding of their needs, priorities, and activities. She collaborates with Indigenous communities to identify and develop opportunities for building capacity, business development and employment, and identifies, tracks, and monitors concerns and interests identified by Indigenous groups. 

Lacy also serves as the Operations Manager for a partnership between Fort McMurray First Nation #468 and Stantec. She acts as the dedicated champion for the community, clients and projects executed within the traditional territorial boundaries of the FMFN#468. Lacy also served as a Geological Associate for Stantec, for 12 years, with geotechnical and geological investigation experience.
