With over a decade of experience spanning supply chain, academia, consulting, and energy utilities in Nigeria, South Africa and Canada, Lauretta Pearse brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to the Energy Futures Lab. Her diverse career has focused on sustainable infrastructure, process improvement, energy management, decarbonization, delivering transformative solutions for federal, municipal, industrial, and Indigenous clients.
As a consultant, Lauretta advised on net-zero strategies, climate adaptation/mitigation planning, and energy management, while also driving asset management initiatives and sustainable infrastructure projects. In academia, she advanced bioenergy research, publishing five peer-reviewed articles with over 130 citations. Lauretta’s work in the supply chain included leading strategic projects across continuous improvement, operational excellence, production, procurement, and capital projects in the FMCG sector.
A passionate energy enthusiast, Lauretta is committed to tackling the energy trilemma—security, equity, and sustainability—through innovation, strategy, and policy.
