Barbra Korol

Barbra Korol is the principal and founder of Peitho Group. Barbra has been at the nexus of energy policy and public relations for more than two decades. She worked in industry public relations for a decade, first with EPCOR Utilities and then with The Dow Chemical Company. With EPCOR, she led the external communications function and served as media liaison and corporate spokesperson. With Dow Canada, she was national head of corporate and public relations prior to relocating to Dow’s U.S. headquarters where she was appointed global public affairs leader for the Manufacturing and Engineering function and then the Specialty Plastics and Elastomers portfolio. Upon returning to the Alberta Government, Barbra held several executive level positions at the Alberta Energy and Minerals department, including as branch head of the Energy Secretariat, Market Access and Natural Gas teams. She was ED accountable for Alberta CoLab, the Government of Alberta’s premier policy innovation lab, led the policy analysis for Alberta’s Natural Gas Vision and Strategy and for Alberta’s Hydrogen Roadmap. Barbra retired from the Alberta Energy and Minerals department in July 2024 to found Peitho Group. Barbra is an experienced facilitator, public presenter, spokesperson and has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences. In 2022 she was awarded a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (QPJM) for outstanding service to Albertans.
