Director, Institute for Environmental Sustainability
Connie is the Director of Mount Royal University’s Institute for Environmental Sustainability and an Associate Professor of Organization Theory at the Bissett School of Business, teaching courses in business strategy, corporate social responsibility and environmental management. She is also an adjunct assistant professor at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary where she obtained a PhD in Energy Management and Sustainable Development as well as an MBA that was completed while working in various business roles with TransCanada Pipelines. Dr. Van der Byl’s research interests focus on energy organizations and their response to sustainability issues.
