Emily has always been fascinated by the natural world. Growing up on a small island off the west coast of British Columbia, she learned early in life of the important connection between healthy communities, economies, and the environment. She is passionate about working collaboratively across sectors to support the implementation of sustainable environmental practices. Emily holds a master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of New Brunswick, and an undergraduate degree in Geography from the University of Calgary.

Pong is a founding member of The Natural Step Canada team and was part of the original group that created the Energy Futures Lab. He leads and provides strategic input to select Lab initiatives as well as playing an advisory role in the Lab’s strategic direction.

Kelley is driven by a passion for enabling simpler solutions, new learnings, and courageous expression in support of resilient human connection and striving to make everyday life healthier, more authentic, and more sustainable. Her personal and professional experience has enriched her life with a great diversity of perspectives and continues to offer ways to evolve her skills in heart-centred action, engagement, and holistic ways of thinking and being. She prioritizes being sensitive and adaptive to changes in needs and priorities, while seeking opportunities to understand, empathize, unlearn, and problem-solve.

Kelley deeply believes that by actively committing to co-creating meaningful and authentic spaces, we can continue to build our systems so that they evolve beyond our collective limiting beliefs into an abundant, purpose-driven, and equitable future.

As a sustainability strategist, Erin is highly skilled at planning processes, fostering collaboration and facilitation. She commonly puts these skills to use in her role with the Lab, where she stewards the Energy Futures Lab Partners Council, seeks new collaborative opportunities and develops and nurtures strong external relationships with stakeholders across the energy system. Erin holds a Master’s of Science in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden. When she is not working, Erin enjoys being active outdoors and playing with her two daughters and their new puppy, Buddy.

Alison oversees the strategic direction and operations of the Energy Futures Lab, including supporting dozens of entrepreneurs, energy companies and stakeholders in generating opportunities to identify, test and scale new initiatives and collaborations. As a professional engineer, sustainability consultant and social innovator, Alison has advised and supported numerous multinationals, government agencies and startups. She has worked at the cross-section of energy, environment and collaboration for almost two decades.
